Since its introduction in 1986, hundreds of millions of American Silver Eagles have been bought by wise collectors and investors. The Silver Eagle has become the most popular bullion coin in the world because of its beauty, its quality, and the assurance of content by the U.S. government.

The classic Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman featured on the coin’s obverse has long been a collector's favorite. After 35 years, this famous design was refreshed in 2021. Thanks to technological advancements in the design and minting process, it now encompasses some of Weinman’s original details that were not previously possible.

The reverse design on coins struck prior to 2021 (Type 1), by John Mercanti, features a heraldic eagle with a shield, grasping an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.

The new reverse design (since 2021) features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch as if to add it to a nest.

Every Silver Eagle is a meticulously crafted work of art, produced to the exacting standards of the United States Mint. By law, all U.S. Silver Eagle bullion coins are struck only from silver mined in the United States.
